| MISANO: ALBERTO CERQUI HUNTING FOR THE TITLE IN THE ITALIAN FORMULA 3 CHAMPIONSHIP | |
| 21/04/2010 - The Italian Formula 3 Championship is on track this weekend at Misano Adriatico for the opening round of a season that announces to be thrilling.
With more than thirty drivers coming from eleven countries, the series organized by ACI-CSAI is in this moment one of the principal showrooms in International motor racing and Alberto Cerqui, winner of the Italian Formula Azzurra 2009 title, could not miss this championship. The young driver from Brescia has been the first during winter to officialize his participation with Team Ombra Racing at the wheel of a F310 Dallara powered by FPT Racing. The intense testing work done in the last few months allowed the development of the single seater in dependence of the new Kumho tyres and to lay the foundations for a season as protagonist. Alberto Cerqui: "During tests we performed quite a few laps and this gave me the chance to get acquainted with the single seater and to try several solutions out. We brought forward our programme without paying too much attention to laptimes: now we are going to start being serious and on Saturday we will have the first indications on the real values on the field. Competition will be fierce: my objective, as last year, will be the absolute title without neglecting rookies' classification".
