| USEFUL POINTS FOR ALBERTO CERQUI IN MONZA'S OPENER OF THE LAMBORGHINI BLANCPAIN SUPER TROFEO | |
| 13/04/2015 - The opening round of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo 2015, held last weekend in Monza, only partially met Alberto Cerqui's expectations as he aimed to be one of the key players in his home round.
Following the tenth place in the second qualifying heat (1:48.344) the driver from Brescia, together with co-equiper Giacomo Barri, put in a great comeback race one that allowed him to get back to the fifth final place, not far from the podium. Promising result also in race two, as the pairing obtained a strong seventh place despite some technical details still to be refined on the car. Alberto Cerqui: "The weekend did not partially go in the way we expected and I am disappointed on not being able to thank my supporters on the grand stands from the podium. The setup defined in testing required some more tuning and we tried to improve it in every session. Some slight technical hitches slowed us down in the race, therefore I think that, considering we could not show our full potential, the points obtained here are positive for the championship. Now we will run some testing days to work on several fronts to be hundred percent ready for Silverstone next 24 May". | |
