ALBERTO CERQUI COMPETING IN THE 6 HOURS OF ROME

21/11/2012 - The first season in the world touring cars championship being over, Alberto Cerqui will compete this coming weekend at Vallelunga for the 6 Hours of Rome, the final round of the Endurance Champions Cup 2012. The young driver from Brescia, invited by Oregon Team, will be at the wheel of a Renault Megane Trophy powered by a 3.5 liters V6 engine with 400hp and will share the cockpit with Stefano Comini and Vittorio Ghirelli.

Alberto Cerqui:
"I have never competed in an endurance race before, therefore I am quite curious to see how things will go. In the past few days I had the chance to test the Megane in Franciacorta and I quite liked it since the beginning: its chassis is rigid, the driving position is quite to the back, while the engine pushes a lot starting from low regimes and it can reach interesting speed.
I am delighted by the interest shown by Oregon Team and I was thrilled to accept their offer: in WTCC one plays all his cards in less than half an hour, here we will have to think about the whole six hours, which will make even more interesting this end of the season's parenthesis".

The weekend's programme follows (GMT+1):
