ALBERTO CERQUI WORRIED ABOUT THE BALLAST AT THE EVE OF MISANO'S ROUND

31/05/2011 - After exits in Valencia and Portimao, the Superstars Series will be back in Italy for the fourth round of the season that is scheduled for this weekend at the Misano World Circuit and will be valid for the Italian championship only.

Alberto Cerqui is one of the main protagonists of the series organized by Roma Formula Futuro: the pole position and two second places obtained in Portugal highlighted the perfect syntony between the BMW Team Italy's driver and his official M3 BMW and showed a remarkable adaptation ability in the move from single seaters to covered wheels.

In the Italian Championship standings, Cerqui is currently third at 16 points, 19 shy the leader; in terms of ballast, Alberto will carry on board his M3 BMW, as by regs, 40kg additional weight due to the results obtained in Portimao and on top of that he will also have 15kg, as recently decided by the technical bureau, to be added to the minimum weight.

Alberto Cerqui:
"After two circuits new to me like Valencia and Portimao, now it is the turn of a circuit I know very well. The 40kg ballast will probably be a further rival and the 15kg on top of those will make my weekend particularly tough. I particularly fear Maseratis but Mercedes will not be sitting there and watch too, therefore my objective will be defend myself as best I can and get some important points for the classification".

The weekend's programme follows (local time, GMT+2):
